Oral hygiene

It is important to maintain a good oral hygiene routine, which effectively removes the bacterial plaque that forms constantly on your teeth and gums. This involves brushing your teeth thoroughly, ideally for two minutes, twice a day using a standard fluoride toothpaste. Brushing alone only cleans about 60% of the surfaces of the teeth and it is not very effective for the areas between the teeth, so the use of floss on a daily basis is recommended. For some, the use of interdental brushes is a satisfactory alternative to floss as part of a daily routine. Our dentists or hygienists can show you the best methods for brushing or flossing.
