Traumatic dental experiences in childhood resulted in a full-on phobia in adulthood, which only increased with age. Almost every procedure, including cleaning, had to be done under sedation for me to cope. The fear of having to go to the dentist could mean several sleepless nights before the appointment, and overwhelming reluctance to go.

Almost all of that is now a thing of the past. I no longer dread appointments, and yesterday had the first full hygienist clean with Kate, without sedation, in over a decade. It is almost 2 years now that I have been coming to this practice. Starting with a root canal with Federico, I was then assigned to Zo for regular dentistry. For major work I still have sedation but the terror has gone. Federico is an expert in his field, a consummate professional and extremely reassuring. Zo must be the most gentle, understanding and supportive practitioner there is, and Kate has such patience, compassion and empathy which I have found transformative. From the nurses to the receptionists, this is an exceptional practice. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Thank you all.

I just wanted to follow up on my son and husband’s appointments today. We are new patients to the practice, recommended by a friend. My son is extremely anxious and had a traumatic event in the past at the dentists. He came through the door saying it ‘went great’, chuffed with his Rubik’s cube and saying how brilliant you all are.

My husband seconds this: he told me that Maalini was ‘just brilliant’ with our son, as was Lauren. He can’t praise your care or expertise enough – he said you were so clever in how you put our son at ease, and he also learned a lot. He also said how impressed he was with Zohaib and how relaxed and reassured he felt at his own appointment.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed (and relieved!) we are as a family and how glad we are that we moved to your practice. It was such a welcoming environment with such an attention to detail. It’s great to know that they will both feel so relaxed about future appointments. After a number of failed visits, nervousness, deteriorating teeth, old failed dentistry and bleeding gums I was advised to go for a complex dental plan (with implants) and sedation.

It has taken over two years, has been relatively pain free and I am now in a position where eating is a pleasure, chewing is pain free and, as a bonus, I have a good smile.
Simon Burgess gave me the recommendation to see Henk Freeke, one of the leading dentists at Ringley Park, and together with Sedation Solutions, Henk and his assistant Emily, my treatment has been completed.

I have just completed a transformative year with my teeth and I would like to thank you and your practice for the care and advice given to me from the very first meeting with Henk Freeke in May of 2021.

Henk's plans formulated with me at the meeting and modified where necessary before the next meeting were then carried out successfully with the last part of the process completed in January 2022.

Both Henk and Emily looked after me as a very nervous patient and explained everything clearly so that I was able to confidently move through the various stages to completion in January 2022. Ashley and her Hygiene team were also very important in this process and the turnaround in the gum health as a result of her knowledge in the stopping of the amlodipine treatment (which my GP also agreed with) has meant that the health of my mouth is continually improving. I cannot thank Henk and Emily as well as Ashley and her team enough for the care and support they have given to me over the last months from May 21 to January 2022 and I look forward to their continuing support throughout 2022.
